Ms. Keturah Sharmane Brooks gained her heavenly wings on June 26, 2023, at the critical care unit at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. She was born October 28, 1982, in Community Memorial Health Center to the late Jeremiah Wilson and Viola Brooks.

She was educated in the Mecklenburg County school system where she graduated from Bluestone High School in 2000. At an early age, she was baptized at and joined Rocky Mount Baptist Church.

Keturah, known lovingly as "Puddn," never met a stranger. She loved to joke and always made everybody laugh. She was a die-hard New England Patriots fan and loved Tom Brady. She also loved to cook. She was employed at the Nottoway Correctional Center as food services manager and also taught ServSafe classes until her health began to fail.She was preceded in death by her father, Jeremiah Wilson, her grandfathers, Jentis Boyd and Elijah Wilson, and brother, Lateamor Trent.

She is survived by her mother, Viola Brooks; two children, Amiyah White and Dequavious Roberts of the home; two sisters, Evette Brooks of Chase City, VA, and Lakeshia Pendergraft (Kenneth) of Jacksonville, NC; grandparents, Ola Beattie of Skipwith, VA, and JoAnn Wilson of Richmond, VA; aunts, Renail Atkins (Lin), Emma Long, Frances Beattie, Jacqueline Wilson of Richmond, VA, and Carl Beattie of Roanoke, VA; devoted uncle, Russ Wilson; two devoted nieces Ebony Brooks and Ty'Quasia Wood; devoted cousin/friend, Cleopha Long; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service for Ms. Keturah Sharmane Brooks will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA. Public viewing will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
